Peter Hickey

With over 25 years of experience raising capital and building companies,  Peter is a recognized leader in Atlantic Canada’s entrepreneurial  ecosystem. He founded SUMS Capital, an investor relations platform  acquired by Charli Capital in 2025, and has co-founded  and financed multiple ventures including Adaptiiv Medical, IR  Scientific, and Allumiqs Corp—guiding them from inception through  regulatory approvals, clinical validation, and international  commercialization.

Peter’s network spans Canada, the US, UK, and Singapore, with deep  relationships across institutional and high-net-worth investors. He also  co-founded the region’s “Investment Club,” which has grown to be one of  the largest independent investment groups who  invest in early-stage companies—often as the first capital in. Peter  brings a unique combination of entrepreneurial, investment, and advisory  experience to support growth-oriented companies across Atlantic Canada  and beyond.
