Michael Brown, CFA

Michael  Brown is an accomplished investor and entrepreneur with over a decade of  global business experience spanning public and private investments,  business development, and creating shareholder value. His diverse career  encompasses investment banking, institutional equity research, venture  capital, and entrepreneurship. Michael is the founder of TLT Capital, a  private investment firm specializing in human optimization and advanced  technology startups, where he leverages his expertise to identify and  nurture high-impact ventures.

Michael has a strong focus on  alternative investment opportunities in healthcare and technology and  has significant exposure to the consumer, sustainability, and special  situations sectors. His multidisciplinary approach and deep industry knowledge allow him to navigate complex markets and deliver innovative solutions for investors and portfolio companies.

Michael grew up on a dairy farm in Sussex, New Brunswick, where he developed a strong work ethic and  began his investment journey at the age of nine with advice from his  grandfather. He is a CFA charterholder, an Exempt Markets Professional,  and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the University of New Brunswick.

Michael’s passion for innovation  and excellence drives his commitment to building businesses that not  only achieve financial success but also contribute positively to  society. Outside of work, he enjoys mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs,  exploring emerging technologies, playing hockey and staying engaged with  his roots in Atlantic Canada.
